“Dormant” is an exploration of my sleeping patterns.

I was experiencing insomnia during my final years of college, and I wanted to examine the positions my body would move into as I slept. I installed a timed camera above my bed, and chose six images to embroider life-sized. I then installed these sheer silk panels out in space, so they would move with the airflow. The medium gives these pieces a dreamy, otherworldly quality.
