Chalk It Up 2021

In October I created a piece at Maverick Library in San Antonio for this city-wide event, which brought artists to neighborhood libraries to make chalk murals. This mural was about community, togetherness, and tender care. I wanted to represent queer love too, so I asked a friend for a photo of them and their partner to use as reference. It was a wonderful experience creating art with a dedicated group of friends and interacting with community members. The mural is titled “Queer Love Is.”
