In 2023 I was invited to Artpace’s annual Chalk It Up community event in San Antonio for the second time.

This 15’ x 10’ chalk mural, titled “Rest Without Guilt” was created for everyone who has struggled with burnout, and struggled to balance their everyday worries with the big picture of world events.

This mural is a permission granted which we may not hear from society, but which we can give each other in our communities and inner circles.

This concept is particularly important for women, people of color, and people in the queer community, who often take on more work than their white male counterparts.
